High-masking Autism: Co-Presentation for IOCDF Autism SIG

  • International OCD Foundation, Autism Special Interest Group Virtual / Online (map)

Amber Young, LMHC will co-present at the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF) Autism Special Interest Group (SIG) monthly meeting on high-masking Autism, a phenomenon often overlooked in clinical and research discussions. The SIG brings together researchers, clinicians, and individuals with lived experience to explore neurodivergence and OCD from multiple perspectives.

Amber brings a multi-faceted perspective: as a licensed clinician, an OCD specialist for many years, a family member of individuals with OCD, and someone reflecting on her own experiences with late-diagnosis of high-masking Autism, and missed perinatal OCD. Attendees will gain insight into recognizing subtle presentations, understanding the impact of masking, and integrating clinical and lived experience-informed strategies. Specific presentation details and learning objectives will be shared closer to the event date.
